One night, I decided to go to the infamous Animal with T to try out the Bacon Chocolate Dessert. Ofcourse I had to try the meals too but honestly...I just went for the bacon chocolate :)

The restaurant itself is really hard to find. As all LA restaurants like to do, there is no name and barely any light coming from the restaurant. Parking is also extremely difficult. I decided to valet it this time.

Tip: Make sure you call beforehand and make reservations. The menu is also really hard to comprehend if you're not an expert foodie. I had to rely on my coworker's suggestions and yelp.

Unfortunately it was really dark in the restaurant so my pictures don't really do it justice.

Balsamic pork ribs
delicata squash, cippolini onion vinaigrette
AMAZING. We had to take half of it to-go and I literally ate it for the next 3 dinners.

Bacon Chocolate Crunch.
It was alright. It was basically a chocolate crunch bar with bits of bacon on top. The bacon really made the dessert. I had never had bacon with chocolate so it was a new and interesting experience. However, it's not something I'd go again for.






Overall, this place lived up to its standards. As long as you go in knowing what you want to order, you're good. It's relatively expensive so it'll kill your budget but it's worth at least one try.
