If you've ever been to LA or not, you've probably heard of the infamous Pink's Hot Dogs on the corner of Melrose and La Brea. Well, on the way back from the Kodak Theater, my family and I came across the trailer. The line wasn't that long, so I suggested that we wait in line to see what the big deal about this place was.
The menu wasn't as big as I thought it was, but there is definitely still a wide selection of different types of hot dogs to choose from. Some of the names are pretty ridiculous.
Right - 10" Stretch Chili Dog
The Chicago Polish Dog was waaaay better than the chili dog...mostly because it was a "polish" dog vs. a normal thin hot dog. I also felt healthier eating it if that means anything :)
Overall, I think it's all hype. Sure, there's lots of good toppings, but it's not worth waiting in line for 1.5 hrs. I just had to do it once to see for myself.
Parking: Park in one of the neighborhood streets nearby and walk over to the trailer.
