So I always drive down this street and stop by Yogurtland all the time. EVERY TIME I pass by this place it's packed. There's always people waiting outside because it's so tiny inside. Because of this, I have been dying to come to Tofu-ya.
One night, my friends and I decided to go after sitting in traffic for an hour towards San Gabriel and going nowhere. We ended up having to wait another hour to get a table but boy was it worth the wait.
Quick Tip: When you get there, go straight to the counter to put your name on the waiting list. Some people have made the mistake of just waiting outside for something to happen. ...nothing's going to happen that way.
There are 3 main things on the menu to choose from - Korean bbq only (meat + side of rice), Korean tofu soup only, and Korean bbq, korean tofu soup, side of rice combo.
The combos are totally worth it. By itself, the bbq is $14, tofu soup is $8.99. As a combo it's $12.99. And don't forget the Korean side dishes :)
I ordered this because I love BiBimBap and had to try it. Unfortunately..not up to par. I didnt feel like the veggies were fresh enough.
You have the option of picking what kind of tofu soup you want - Beef, Seafood, or both. They give you a raw egg to crack in it too! This tastes delicious when it's cold outside.
