My family came into town during DineLA at the end of 2009. I decided to take them to try Michael Mina XIV located on Sunset Blvd. My mom and I ordered the DineLA menu while my dad and brother ordered from the 8 course tasting menu.

The way the tasting menu works is you get to choose either 8, 11, or 14 courses from the entire menu of appetizers, salads, entrees, and dessert. Not gonna lie..it's an expensive chic place to eat so definitely dress up and save up some money to eat here. haha.

Unfortunately, it's been awhile since DineLA and I didn't copy down the menu. So below are some pictures with no titles and some with titles.

Overall, the portions were extremely small but all very good quality. You're really paying for the atmosphere and service. The waitress was very nice and attentive. What I was most impressed with was the nutella custard. It was very original and tasted amazing.

This soup was delicious and part of the DineLA menu. I think it was lobster bisque
